Coldest Winter in Eight Years Heightens Dry Feet Problems

This winter was the coldest since 2001, creating low humidity and bringing dry, chapped skin with it. According to some experts, the solution to dry, cracked heels is not scraping, but moisturizing and exfoliating. "Every inch of our skin is affected by cold weather, which creates lower humidity. However, our hands and feet suffer the most because they lack oil glands that are present on other skin surfaces," says Carol J.
